EMOTIONAL AWARENESS
Your ability to recognize and take responsibility for your emotions.

ONE GOD–ONE FLESH™
Marriage can reach a season when love is still present, but something between you has changed.
Perhaps communication has become difficult. One or both of you feel unheard, unseen, or unappreciated. Trust has been strained. Distance has grown. The same conversations keep returning without resolution. Or perhaps you both know you want your marriage, but you also know you cannot simply return to the way things were.
The Marriage Reconciliation Intensive (MRI) Assessment was created to help you begin your reconciliation journey with honesty, understanding, and intention.
“This assessment is not about determining fault. It is about understanding the emotional landscape of your marriage in its current season so healing can begin with wisdom, care, and clarity.”

Rev. Terrence & Marlene Trimuel are Christian Marriage Coaches. ONE GOD–ONE FLESH™ marriage coaching programs and services are Christian and Scripture-based.
We believe in the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman and that marriage is a sacred covenant established by God.
Our foundational Scripture is:
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”
Throughout this assessment and the Marriage Reconciliation Intensive, you will encounter Scripture, prayer, biblical principles, personal reflection, accountability, and guided conversations designed to support your reconciliation journey.
Our faith is not separate from the work we do with marriages. It is the foundation upon which ONE GOD–ONE FLESH™ was built.

You and your spouse will complete the MRI Assessment independently because each of you need room to reflect honestly on your own experience of the marriage.
Your spouse will complete a separate assessment.
Your individual responses will not automatically be shown to your spouse.
We want each of you to have the opportunity to reflect without trying to anticipate how your spouse might answer, defend your position, or change your response based on what you believe your spouse may say.
“The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out.”

During the MRI Intake Assessment, you will be invited to reflect deeply on your:
This portion of the assessment includes a combination of rating questions, selected responses, and written reflections so you have room to express what you have experienced in your own words.
SECTION
After you complete the MRI Intake Assessment, you will complete your Reconciliation Readiness Scorecard.
The Scorecard is the final part of your assessment experience and must be completed before your MRI Assessment can be submitted for review.
The Intake Assessment gives you space to reflect on your experiences, concerns, needs, boundaries, patterns, hopes, and vision for your marriage.
The Reconciliation Readiness Scorecard then helps us understand where you are today in five important areas:
Your ability to recognize and take responsibility for your emotions.
Your ability to listen, communicate honestly, receive feedback, and remain respectful during difficult conversations.
Your willingness to acknowledge your part, accept responsibility, follow through on commitments, and make personal changes.
Your ability to communicate and respect healthy boundaries without using guilt, silence, pressure, or control.
Your willingness to rebuild slowly, create a renewed marriage, and trust God throughout the reconciliation process.
SECTION
You and your spouse will each complete your own Reconciliation Readiness Scorecard privately.
The purpose is not to compare your score with your spouse’s score.
One spouse is not more committed to the marriage simply because one score is higher.
The Scorecard gives Rev. Terrence & Marlene Trimuel another way to understand where each of you may need support as you begin the reconciliation journey.
Your initial Reconciliation Readiness Scorecard will also establish your baseline. As you move through the reconciliation process, you may complete the Scorecard again so we can identify growth, changes, and areas that may still need attention.
“Let us examine our ways and test them.”
SECTION
Please give yourself enough time and privacy to answer thoughtfully.
Every question in the MRI Intake Assessment and Reconciliation Readiness Scorecard must be answered before your assessment can be submitted for scoring and review.
You do not have to complete everything in one sitting.
Your progress will be saved so you can return and continue where you left off.
Before beginning the assessment, you will be asked to provide your contact information and review the participant acknowledgment and disclaimer.
Once your completed assessment has been submitted, your responses will be locked and preserved as your original MRI baseline assessment.
SECTION
The MRI Assessment contains personal and sensitive information about you and your marriage.
Because of the private and sensitive nature of this information, your assessment score, category results, written responses, and interpretation will not be displayed on the screen or sent to you by email after submission.
Your individual assessment will first be reviewed privately by Rev. Terrence & Marlene Trimuel.
Your spouse will not automatically receive access to your individual written responses or assessment results.
The purpose of keeping your assessments separate is not to create secrets between spouses. It is to give each of you a safe opportunity to speak honestly so that we can better understand what each of you need as you work toward reconciliation.
SECTION
After both you and your spouse have completed and submitted your individual MRI Intake Assessments and Reconciliation Readiness Scorecards, you will be invited to schedule a complimentary 90-minute Marriage Reconciliation Coaching Call with Rev. Terrence & Marlene Trimuel.
Your results will be discussed during this private coaching call.
We will help you understand what your assessment reveals about your current starting point, areas of strength, areas that need attention, patterns that may be affecting the marriage, and what each of you may need as you begin moving toward reconciliation.
Your private written responses will not simply be read aloud to your spouse.
Instead, your assessments will help us identify the areas that should be explored together and guide a thoughtful conversation about your reconciliation journey.
Your results are intended to guide the reconciliation conversation. They do not determine the future of your marriage.
